I wish I could get the money for my Granddaughter to go compete in Las Vegas in July. She had come to visit me this summer and ask me if she could try out to go to Las Vegas and compete in singing this summer. I told her sure, she ask me what I would do if she got picked and I told her I would make sure she went. Well to tell you the truth I forgot all about it and then I got a phone call from my grand daughter and she was picked. The entry fee is $700.00 then the ticket for her and her mom out there and the room. Any way I am trying to get the money. The last 2 years have been so very hard. I lost my husband to cancer in March of 2003. We did not see it coming. My husband had just started a new job. He died 4 months after we found out. I have lost just about every thing and had to file for bankruptcy. Why I am telling you this I don’t know. Maybe I am feeling sorry for my self. I do know if my husband was still alive we would be able to grant our grand daughter her wish. I am trying to make this come happen for her. I told my daughter we would make it happen. Thank God she did not get upset with me. I know I should have talked to her first. But I have always been able to make things happen for my grand children. Pray that things work out. I am a married mother of one little girl, Shailea. My husband is working 12 hours a day, 6 days a week at a minimum wage job that is going no where. Our car, which was almost paid off, blew the transmission, and we had to get a different car, with about twice the payment. We are both in school, and are trying to better our selves. We are currently about $12,000 dollars in debt with school loans. We have tried applying for scholarships, but most of them ask about our community involvement, and neither of us have the time for extra activities, due to our work schedules. We are bother holding high GPA's, mine is an 3.83 and my husbands is a 3.5. So, my wish is:Would someone please help me get my student loans down? I wish I could get good grades allowing me to get into a good college and then in that case i wish i end up in a very succesful job field. I also wish i could lose a lot of weight before my prom and get a bf this year(Mr. GQ to be specific) but I dobt any of this will happen but its always worth a try.
