60 ) - Faith

July 27, 2004

Yesterday was the birthday of someone dear to me. Unfortunately, I was unable to contact this person to let this person know how blessed I feel to have him in my life. I may never get a chance to tell him, I may never see him again, and I may never touch, or breath him again.

As I read some of these stories, I can't help feeling a little baffled at some of the requests that are being made. I'm confused as to the particular exchange that I have connected to. I thought that this was the love story exchange, but the continued requests for financial assistance unsettles me.

You see, as Scorpions', we are certainly not the type to confide in strangers, let alone publicly ask for assistance. We suck it up, dig in our heels and get the job, whatever and any job done. We find a way, that is our nature and it doesn't usually involve soliciting outside help.

Another thing that baffles me is the lack of faith that is so easily displayed. We are supposed to be a sign directly connected to the very roots of spirituality as well as dark, and white majic, intertwined with the healing and destructive powers of the earth, not only with physic capabilities, but with predictive vibes as well. How dare we give up on ourselves.

Considering the intense feelings (are there no other kind for the scorpion) that I'm dealing with over the apparent split with whom I considered my soulmate, I'll be the first to admit that yesterday, I had no faith. I was ready to die to escape the pain. I went to bed so empty and hurt, that I didn't think that I would see sunshine for a very long time. However, I didn't forget to pray before I slept, (even though the words were not particularly kind) I spoke to my higher power. Lo and behold as I go through my day today, some of the worthless feelings that I felt just last night, are lifted.

You see, this person came into my life at a time when I really needed something to live for. When the fabric of my life was unraveling, and everything that I thought I knew was up for revision. I was grasping, he was there, I caught on and was revised,and rebuilt to a standard higher than that of my former self. He was just what I needed at that paticular time, and I got carried away with my hopes and dreams. But who's to say that my higher power ment for this person to be my lifelong partner? In looking at and for the little signs, I may have missed the big picture. It came to me that my GOD gave me just a sliver of the love that I must aspire to give myself, the confidence to go on, and to reconnect with my ability to give and receive love. This person certainly set my soul afire and the thought of him continues to do so. Maybe it was just the little piece of paradise to confirm for me that I must go on.

Go on I will, with my eyes to the higher purpose as opposed to the paticulars. While my faith will undoubtedly waiver, my basic foundation will remain. You too must connect with your core being, unite it with your spirituality, and continue striving for what we need, as opposed to what we want. If I've learned nothing else from the various experiences in my life, the fact that we don't always get what we want, but always receive what we need, is paramount.

Scorpions', if it's ment to be, be it will, if not, it won't. The test comes in finding out which will it is.

my son had died without life insurance. so i wish i would have enough money to pay off his funeral which is $10,000. but my true wish would be for my son to still be alive. sincerely cathy

58 ) - My Life...

I was born with an ankle deformity. These past 20 years have left me a young man who can barely walk, much less find a decent job. I'm going to a community college to major in art, but I can only afford that because I have a Pell Grant. I'm living with my perpetually ill and impovershed grandparents, who kindly took me in after my mother abandoned me. They support me because I find it very difficult to support myself. Now I have a fiancee and I'm one semester away from getting my Associate's degree, but I'm in debt to hospitals and can't afford to even put gas in my car, much less get an apartment for me and my fiancee who lives 60 miles away. We want to start our life together as soon as possible, but we need money. My car is on the verge of breaking down, so we don't even get to see each other that often. I don't know what to do anymore.

THIS IS A TRUE STORY OF MY LIFE

I've always believed in life, that Jesus uses us as vehicles to help one another for various reasons....
For many years I've prayed, but especially lately, I've been feeling hopeless, keep in mind I love Jesus dearly..but I don't understand why he doesn't help us. My fiancée got extremely ill around 1990(36 yrs @ the time) gallbladder surgery that went horribly wrong. As a result, he had five surgeries(2 @ UCLA) and spent eight months in the hospital..he almost lost his life. They sent him home with tubes still attached in his body and the worst of his illness went on for five years. Off and on we were in and out of the emergency rooms. Today, he still suffers to a degree and can only work part-time. If this wasn't enough in our young lives, I had a severe panic attack, four years after the onset of his illness and was taken to the emergency room, (I was 33yrs old @ the time). The way I can describe it is that my body was out of control..extremely scary and I thought I was having heart attacks. This went on for a time, in and out of emergency rooms and numerous medical ! tests. I still suffer from it today, but it has been controlled through medication. I've managed to deal with it. With my fiancée working part-time, I've worked in new home sales. I love it but was laid off last November, 2003, because of a company buyout. We both are hardworking people, given the chance. Although, when you have health issues, it makes it difficult. I have a four year business degree and my fiancée has had 14 years in aerospace management before he got sick and the company he worked for closed. We've never had children, in which we would have loved. But now I'm 44yrs old and he's 48yrs old and it's pretty late now. We're financially unstable, although we both have good credit, but way too much unsecured debt, $90,000.00. We rent a mobile home in San Diego County, California. I've prayed to Jesus over and over for a miracle. But why we haven't had just a small portion of life that some people take for granted.ie..health, children and home to call !our own, baffles me. We love each other and have been together now 14 yrs. We're really good people. Our dream in life is to get out of debt, which has paralyzed us from making a move. Buy a little home in Minden, Nevada (approx ½ hr from Lake Tahoe).God's country. This area is still affordable, unlike San Diego county where the median price of a condo or home is $350-$500,000!!! In Northern Nevada, Condo's and starter homes are approximately $200,000. Since it's starting to grow, I should be able to get a full time job. I just happened to see this website, when I was looking for a personal loan. Of course, with high debt to income ratio (what income!) .no one will help!!! Desperation seems to push you in directions you normally wouldn't even consider. I've never poured my heart out like this before. If you decide to help us, God really does work miracles!!!! 56 ) - Wanting to be reunited with the man I love

My fiancee' recently had to move back home to Boston to take care of his dad after his mother's passing. He was hoping to find a good job and get us a home and move myself and my son up there. I love this man with all my heart. Unfortunately he hasn't found a good job and is working at wal-mart which 500.00 a month comes out of his check for child support. I on the other hand was at our place here in florida recouperating from foot surgery when I lost my job while out on medical leave. I can't pay my bills here and he doesn't have enough to get us a start up apt and move me and my son. This man is the love of my life. My wish is for someone to donate for our moving expenses and enough money for first, last and security deposit. I have a friend at a medical lab up there that said she could get me work if I get moved up there. If there is someone out there willing to help I would graciously pay you back in payments. Thank you so much for taking time to read my story.
