I'm intrigued...what you've said is completely logical but, as usual, I do everything backwards :) Also, i find it interesting that given that in my relationships with Pisces boys, i didn't/don't feel the need or don't see my actions showing dominance over them. Quiet the opposite actually, then again, as i said, i'm backwards. :)
BTW: I am by no means a feminist or at all put off by that theory.

my experiences.. and I've got a lot.
+ Sagittarius: We paired incredibly well. Supposedly, they would be worst enemies, but we played so well off of each other. I know of a married couple even that is Scorpio + Sag.
+ Pisces: These guys didn't give. They were always holding back so I was insane when I got any openness from them at all. dated two.
+ Cancer: I don't know how either of them could stand me so long. They both worked very hard at trying to make things work and were both incredibly concerned for me.
+ Virgo: Yes, they are cold.. but they have a reason for it. It didn't work out. They are quite determined in a non-obvious way. They are far too insecure (just my experience of two) and are afraid of giving their all when it leaves them exposed.
+ Libra: a libra is one of my best friends. I have no intention of ever dating him.
+ Scorpio: This was one of the most wild rides of my life! It was good we got away from each other else it might have turned ugly later on.

Scorpio + Pisces == Strongest sexual connection in the universe (this has been proven time and time again)
Scorpio + Gemini == Run, dont walk. Dont see this lasting for more then 2 weeks
Scorpio + Cancer == Compatible, good relationship material
Scorpio + Virgo == I dont see any compatibility here whatsoever
Scorpio + Libra == Scary combination
Scorpio + Scorpio == Seems compatible, but the two are much too similar and bull-headed to make it last over the long-term
