In 1999 I was diagnosed with a rare virus that attacked my heart. I ended up given up my lifelong dream of becoming a Pediatrician and dropping out of medical school. Since then I have had over 40 hospital stays. I have had an implanted pace-maker difribullator, and a hysterectomy all by age 36.
As a young mother suffering with a rare auto-immune illness, I am aware of all the other moms who are also being diagnosed with illnesses at young ages. (MS, Lupus, Chronic Fatigue, as well as, rare ones like mine which is Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome w/ easily inducible V-fib). If I was in med. school I would try to find out why this is happening to so many young women, but since I am one that suffers, I know all to well the struggles we face every day just doing the day to day tasks. But the funny thing is many people look at us and says "You look good" I want to say "But I feel like crap, I can hardly breathe, and I just spend two weeks in the hospital and one week in bed". They do not see that. Many people with auto-immune disorders look fine on the outside, but are struggling. I wish to help in some way!

I tried to start a foundation for young moms, helping them care for their kids, pay medical bills, handicap proof their houses, hire help to clean etc... The response of help was so underwhelming, as the needs were overwhelming, I ended up depleting my savings account helping these women, and the truth is, I was one of these moms that also needed help, but I cried myself to sleep at night with the needs of all these women, most of which have gone unmet.

My wish is to help people. That is why I was going for medical school. This site caught my eye because it said wish for a free laptop. Well I would like a free laptop to help get things going and organized, but even more, I wish there were really businesses and people who are able to help others. There are somewho have so much money already would really help, could donate services. Just think if say a muliti-millionaire gave up a 20,000 dollar shopping trip. That would feed, cloth, clean, and handicap proof so many homes, as well as, pay so many medical bills. Just think of all the quality time the moms could spend with their babies because their energy wouldn't be spent in cooking, or changing diapers. It would be in playing and loving their children. "To much is give much is required". I want to be healthy. I want to be a good example for my children. I want to help so many others who are battleing illnesses and have no where to turn.
