Racktop bags - Advance, Classic and Light

Racktop bags designed to attach to the top of a rear rack.
We carry a wide range of Racktop bags designed to attach to the top of a rear rack. These are very useful for day trips and commuting. Most of the expanding types (see below) hold about the same amount as a single rear pannier.

Racktop bags attachment systems vary. (see below)
Racktop bags with just two straps are quick and easy to fit but not as secure as those with four. The straps which also incorporate buckles are more secure than those which just use Velcro but slower to use. The Topeak bags have a set of rails on the underside which engage in a set of grooves in the top of a Topeak rack and allow the bag to be slid into place and snapped securely on very quickly and very securely. Racktop bags can be attached to other racks with straps. All Racktop bags have main compartments with stiffened sides, top and bottom. The stiffeners are mostly sealed-cell foam which also insulates and protects. Read more ...

Abbotsford Cycles - Racktop Bags

Racktop bags designed to attach to the top of a rear rack. We carry a wide range of bags designed to attach to the top of a rear rack. These are very useful for day trips and commuting. Most of the expanding types (see below) hold about the same amount as a single rear pannier. They are not quite as convenient as a handlebar bag but generally hold more and do not effect the handling of the bike. They are all rectangular in shape with or without external pockets. Some have a zippered concertina section which allows them to expand. Most come with a shoulder strap. Some have internal moveable dividers which are held in position with Velcro, these in particular make good camera bags.

The stiffeners are mostly sealed-cell foam which also insulates and protects.
Note that none of them are designed to be used in conjunction with rear panniers. It is extremely difficult to fit both panniers and rack top bag at the same time. Unless otherwise stated mesh pockets have elasticised openings; and all bags come with shoulder straps.
